welcome baby Lourdes

Lourdes Krishna Baltazar, the newest addition to our good friends Vincent and Kumud's family arrived on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 4:06 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19.5 inches long. She's named for her great-grandmother and I think she looks like her mama. We're hoping to see the whole family and meet little Lourdes this winter when we are all back in the midwest for the holidays.

Home Sweet Home

Matthew and I have finally returned to our own home. We are busy unpacking and repacking. I am preparing for the class I am teaching, which starts on Monday and doing a bit of relaxing as well. Last night I was able to go to SnB and it was so good to be back. I can't believe I have only 5 more weeks in Riverside! I never thought I'd say this, but I will be very sad to go.

We're back from Canada and getting packed up and ready to drive home tomorrow. We had an amazing time in Quebec but we're getting pretty homesick and are ready to be back in our own house.

french lessons

Matthew and I are working on our French and exploring beautiful Quebec City. The people here are incredible and we're having a great time relaxing, eating, drinking, and just hanging out in a super cool place. Enjoy the pics we took today on our stroll around town.

It's official - we're married!!!!

After tons of running around, preparation, planning, and a little panicking, we pulled off the most perfect wedding I could ever have imagined. We don't yet have any wedding pics (if any of you have some, please send them via email so we can share with everyone), but we did get a new camera right before the wedding, so here are some pre-wedding pictures, and pics of the first day of our fabulous honeymoon in Montreal and Quebec City.
