Tracy Raver Photos

So, apparently Tracy Raver's baby photos are all the rage, and I can totally see why, they are adorable, natural and so sweet. But what amazes me are the handknits in many of the photos. They are spectacular, especially the baby "pouches." Where does she get them? And how does one make them? I sent her an email on flickr, so if I am very lucky maybe she'll let me know. Stay tuned.

Update: I found two patterns on ravelry. Baby cocoon pea pod and egg, and hanging cocoon. Also Tracy Raver's site is back up, so here's the link. I'm going to keep working on this mystery. These would make perfect gifts.

Is there a subliminal message here my dear?

No! Absolutely not. No babies here, just knitting and knitting for other people's babies.

Never seen this photographer before- so sweet! Those are tiny little babies...oh how I can not believe mine is almost 3, or that I'll soon get to snuggle another tiny one!

i stumbled across these on etsy awhile ago: http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_type=handmade&search_query=baby+cocoon&order=date_desc&ship_to=

not sure if there's anything on ravelry, but i thought it was a great alternative to regular swaddling!

Wow, there are a ton of these things on etsy, but none quite as pretty as hers, although I did find one shop that she clearly uses. Her regular site is up again, so I am continuing to research. They are asking $40 for these on etsy and I know I could make them in a couple hours for like $15, so I think they'd make awesome gifts, I just need to figure out a pattern. There are a couple on rav (I'll updated links in the main post), but I really want to make the one's with the little hoods, and it's hard to get the dimensions, how big is a little baby all squished up?

I love the pictures, but I just would like to see the baby that actually stays still for the photo! I'm thinking there was a little Benedryl in their milk.

Beth can you give me the links that you found that Tracy Raver clearly uses? I don't know how to knit and I love her cocoons as well... I couldn't found anything like hers... tks!!!!

If you go to etsy.com and search for baby cocoon lots of things will come up - but they're pretty spendy :) I'm still working on figuring one of these out some day.

From my understanding, Tracy actually knits all of these herself.
